SBA Administrator, Jovita Carranza Visits HSGS Summerville Office

Summerville, SC – Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS), a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) renewable energy company, headquartered in Summerville, SC, was awarded 2020 Region 4 Subcontractor of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
For 2020, HSGS was recognized as the Subcontractor of the Year for SBA Region 4 which includes the southeast states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Each year since 1963, small businesses have been recognized and celebrated for their hard work and achievements during National Small Business Week. Along with the award, HSGS received a visit from the SBA Administrator, Jovita Carranza to the Summerville, SC headquarters of the company to congratulate HSGS on their SBA 2020 Region 4 Subcontractor of the Year Award. The SBA Administrator is a member of the President’s cabinet, advocating on behalf of the 30 million small business’ in the United States. Prior to her role as the SBA Administrator, Jovita Carranza served as the 44th Treasurer of the United States. |

During the visit, HSGS was able to show the Administrator the office where all of their work begins and discuss the processes behind business development, engineering, and operations
of their solar photovoltaic (PV), battery storage, and microgrid systems. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business. As a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, HSGS is honored to be recognized for their achievements as a small business. HSGS is leading the way in global energy security by designing and building renewable energy and microgrid systems. Serving government, commercial, industrial, and utility clients, HSGS’s breadth of experience includes projects that span the continental United States as well as overseas. |
