HSGS Awarded Solar PV Preventative Maintenance Contract for U.S. Embassy in West Africa

July 12th, 2019
Summerville, SC- Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS) has signed a contract with the U.S. Department of State to conduct preventative maintenance on two solar energy systems located at the U.S. Embassy in Dakar, Senegal.

Senegal, located on Africa’s West coast, is considered one of the United States most important allies in Africa. Over several decades the U.S. and Senegal have worked to promote human rights, disarmament, conflict resolution and peace-keeping missions on the African continent. Senegal has also continued to be an invaluable partner in the fight against HIV/AIDS and international terrorism, according to the U.S. Embassy in Senegal.

The solar energy systems powering the U.S. Embassy in Dakar, Senegal include a 211 kilowatt (kW) parking canopy array and a 91 kW roof mounted array. HSGS will perform one year with 4 optional years of annual preventative maintenance, inspection and cleaning on these two solar arrays, beginning in the winter of 2019.

COL (R) Dave McNeil, President and CEO of HSGS, said "We are excited to provide preventative maintenance services for the Department of State at the US Embassy in Dakar.
