HSGS Completes Construction of 1.2 MW Solar Farm for Otis Elevator Company

Charleston, SC- Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS) recently completed the construction of a 1.2 megawatt (MW) ground mounted solar array for Otis Elevator Company at the company’s facility in Florence, South Carolina. On Thursday, February 22, Otis hosted a ceremony to officially flip the switch to the newly constructed solar array.

Otis’ solar array consists of 3,660 solar panels and is expected to generate 1,852,700 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy in its first year, which is enough electricity to power 171 homes. HSGS installed Otis’ ground array in a field located next to Interstate 95, providing passersby with a unique view of Otis’ corporate commitment to power their operations with clean, renewable energy. |
