South Carolina’s Fastest Growing Large Businesses

Summerville, SC-Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS), a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB) renewable energy company, headquartered in Summerville, SC, has been named by SC Biz News as South Carolina’s 11th fastest growing large business for 2019.
Each year, SC Biz News, a South Carolina based media and news publishing company, selects forty of the fastest growing and top performing companies in South Carolina, twenty small companies and twenty large companies, to be named on a state wide list known as the “Roaring Twenties”.

This is the third year HSGS has been recognized on the Roaring Twenties list. In previous years HSGS achieved a top spot on the small companies list, including earning the #1 rank in 2016 and the #2 rank in 2018. This is the first year HSGS was designated a spot in the large companies’ category on the Roaring Twenties list.
SC Biz News evaluated companies for the Roaring Twenties designation based on the following criteria: companies must have a physical presence in South Carolina and be a for-profit entity or a nonprofit organization. |

Selected companies were divided into size categories determined by gross revenue. A small company was considered as having $10 million or less in revenue and large companies were classified as having over $10 million in revenue. Small companies must have had revenues of at least $500,000 for each of the fiscal years of 2016, 2017, and 2018. Ranks for each company and category were decided based on revenue growth from 2017-2018. HSGS was ranked 11 out of 20 other companies in the large business category.
On September 26th, SC Biz News held an awards banquet in Columbia, SC to celebrate HSGS and the rest of the 2019 Roaring Twenties recipients. Roaring Twenties winners will also be featured in the 2019 winter issue of SCBIZ magazine.
